Hi there my name is Lyell, I am seeking a position deckhand onboard a private / charter yacht. I am highly motivated, fast learning and enjoy being challenged. I enjoy working as part of a team, and work well with all personalities. I am confident in my role on deck and have adapted previous skills and knowledge from my previous experience daywork. My fitness level and strength Both are excellent and will cope well with physical work. I aim to do every task to the best of my ability and improve wherever possible.  
 
MARITIME EXPERIENCE   
 
M / Y Walindi / 35m / 24th April - 11th May 2017 Duties - Shipyard period and sea trials. Included engine room work, polishing exterior, teak part1 and part2 and to finish it off with SEMKO, stainless steal polishing, polishing / buffing super structure (part 1, 2, 3 as well as awlgrip polishing), full wash downs, docking (fender work, line work, anchoring), polishing glass. We also completed full wash downs during this period. 
 
M / Y Marina Wonder / 38m / 6th - 13th April 2017 Duties - Polishing exterior of boats. Three polishing part (3M Fast Cut Plus, Extra Fine Plus 3M, 3M Ultrafina SE) 
 
M / Y Sherilyn / 23m / 1-30 August 2016 Duties - Two parting and teak maintenance, detailing stainless, detailing paint work, detailing windows, finessing, line and fender handling, detailing bilges and tender garage, PWC handling and maintenance, polishing, waxing and engine room organization.

 STCW 95 
 Powerboat level 2
 Proficiency in Designated Security Duties  
 Deckhand Certificate RYA Radar 
 RYA PWC  
RYA VHF Radio 
 RYA Diesel Engine 
 Valid International Driver's License
