I have accumulated over 500 days at sea, mainly as a Fishery Observer for Oceanis srl (Naples, 2025-2026), a role I carried out both on board and at landing sites, monitoring bluefin tuna and swordfish fishing activities under the international CPC programme, and also contributing to the review of underwater footage related to tuna transfer operations. Previously, as Chief Inspector of the food supply chain (fishery products) at the Italian Ministry of Health (Bari, 2007-2014), I gained an in-depth understanding of the seafood supply chain from a health and regulatory standpoint.

I hold an STCW'95 certificate (ISTC Malta, 2026), an unlimited sail and motor boating licence since 2000, and I have been a certified A.N.I.S. diving instructor since 1986, with a NAUI diving certification: a combination of qualifications that allows me to operate independently and safely both on deck and underwater.

My career in the Carabinieri (1988-2025), which included territorial command roles and international missions - among them Baghdad (2016-2017) and several European peacekeeping and Liaison Officer missions - as well as my recent role as Security Manager at NATO JFC Naples (2023-2025), working closely with naval forces, have allowed me to develop strong leadership, risk management and cross-cultural teamwork skills under pressure: competencies that I believe are highly valuable in operational environments such as the maritime and yachting sector.

I am fluent in English and Albanian and have a basic knowledge of French, which allows me to communicate effectively within crews and international settings.
